Not terrible but not that good either. Ordered a pizza, calzone, and stromboli for pickup. Sauce on side for calzone and stromboli was a little greasy. Same could be said for everything else.... a little too much grease/oil/butter (we didn't order pepperoni or other meats that would typically add grease.) Pizza was okay... a little chewy. Overall, there is better in Daytona. Our food was fine but not good enough to make me return. edited: after ordering from a different place this weekend, I am realizing how much I didn't enjoy this experience.

I'm new to Yelp reviews but I wanted to share my opinion on this place. First time we ordered delivery from here it was great. Starting telling everyone about the new pizza place we found and how wonderful it was. So based on our first experience we ordered again, this time we would quickly find out would be our last. Ordered a large pizza and when it showed up grease was literally leaking from the box. The bottom of the box was so greasy that it started falling apart. So we called back up and requested a new pizza since this one was not edible. About 20 minutes later we received our replacement pizza. Open the box only to find ANOTHER soaking wet with grease pizza. So to sum up, nice people and they atleast tried to fix our order but NOT GOOD PIZZA. Giuseppe's delivers to about the same area and is MUCH MUCH better pizza.

You know a place has good food when you have to go back despite being dissatisfied with the service on the last visit. This pizza is outstanding... Also the Greek salad is soo fresh. I don't think I've ever had one with tomatoes this good. These tomatoes are seriously delicious. As far as the mishap on our last visit, it seems to be a fluke, because everything was perfect this time. I'm from Philly, so I'm a bit of a pizza snob, and I'm telling you it's great...

Great service. super nice people. pizza was good, but super cheesy. lots of different cheeses if you like that sort of thing. garlic bread was great. worth a shot to try and judge for yourself.

Food was excellent. I give the service a three. Location is about a two and a half, in an old strip mall.

Staying on the Beach, looking for a good pizza. Tried a place on Beach Ave, but after sitting for 10 minutes without any service whatsoever, put Yelp to work and found Constantines! Not easy to find, but OMG awesome!! Greeted us when we walked in the door; great service and really great pizza! In the corner of the plaza, have to LOOK, but well worth it!!

I would rate this place 10 stars if that was possible reason being food was exceptionally good will go back again and again restaurant is a little hard to find but worth the effort an exceptional value

This is the best pizza we have ever had, only the freshest ingredients. the prices were insanely reasonable, 1 medium pizza, 12 garlic knots and 3 drinks only $22.00. the service was friendly and fast. Don't let the strip mall address fool you - it's a great place with lots of character.

Two word sets that work at Constantine's:: garlic knots, cold beer, delicious pizza, fresh salads, great service - what every pizza place should be. We yelped pizza during our stay in Daytona and chose this place. It's a small old-style pizza place hidden away in the corner of an old small strip mall, a little off-putting at first but, man, was it ever worth the trip. You should not be disappointed if you simply want good, fresh food.

Really great pizza! I am a big pizza person and this place was delicious. Skip the big names and come here! I asked for buffalo sauce with my pizza and they were able to give me some.

Well well. The reviews are spot on. Awesome pizza, great garlic knuts, and unbelievable service. Chris the Italian cook made it right with our meat, fresh motz, and chopped basil pizza. Crisp crust ahhhh. Tiffany provided sassy service with a caring heart, demonstrated by her racing out to give us the eyeglasses left behind by accident. Clean, warm, garlic infused wafts is what sums up the ambiance.

I have been to Constantine's several times...and the pizza is REALLY something to talk about. The key word is FRESH...the sauce is amazing with a fresh tomato taste that shines through on EACH different pizza I have ordered. The ingredients are obviously chosen with care and balance but the best part is that the pizza is then finished with a toss of fresh chopped basil after coming out of the oven...OMG, what a GREAT touch. I highly recommend you give this hidden gem a try. It's a very nice place, tucked in the back corner of a Shopping Center at the corner of Big Tree Rd and Ridgewood (U.S. 1) behind the Sonic and the Ace Hardware. Once you've discovered Constantine's, you are CERTAIN to come back again.

The pizza is awesome! The ingredients are fresh and the sauce is delicious. The sauce has pieces of tomato and it is obvious it is homemade which makes the pizza taste much better. There is a lot of cheese as well. My husband had an Italian hero and loved it. There was a generous amount of ingredients in the sandwich. The service was wonderful. The staff is friendly and efficient. The prices are very reasonable. They have a lunch special of a drink and 2 slices of pizza for only $4.90. We will be back again very soon!!!

YEAH..they're back!! I was so excited when I saw that Constantine's reopened! They were a once a week trip for dinner when they were in Port Orange. They are back and just as delicious as before! I can see the traditional continuing :-)

Without a doubt the best pizza in the area. The first time we went in, we were impressed. We started off with Greek salad - a more than ample salad with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, green bell pepper, black olives, pepperoncini, rolled cold cuts, and plenty of feta cheese. Every ingredient was top shelf - no cutting corners here. The garlic knots that accompanied it were fresh baked, and loaded with garlic and grated Parmesan Cheese. Wonderful. Next came the pizza - whenever trying a new place, I always stick to the basics - plain cheese, noting to cover up what they are using for a base pizza. What we had was an excellent example of a New York Style pizza - just the right thickness on the hand-tossed fresh crust that had great body. The sauce was obviously made in house - San Marzano tomatoes, and just the right amount of seasoning - the tomato flavor comes through nicely. They use Grand Mozzarella in combination with Grana Padano cheese - again, top shelf ingredients. To further make this a great pie, they top it off with fresh Basil leaves. It was cooked to the perfect stage of doneness - typically, I have to order mine a little on the well done side, but there's no need to ask this place - they do it right. The thing that impressed me was the fact that the price point is great - actually, they could get away with charging more for their product, but choose not to. We have tried many items in the many times that we have visited, and have not once been disappointed. The Italian selections on the menu are excellent, and made fresh to order. The subs are on fresh house made bread, and like everything else, are made with top quality items. The thing that has impressed me the most is that this is a family owned and operated business, and they treat everyone that enters like family. In this day and age of chain restaurants that are inhabited by people that don't really care about who is in the dining room and don't have a passion and pride in their product, this place is a gem. The family has been in the restaurant business for many years, and the way that they run the place shows it. It is refreshing to go into a place, and leaving with the knowledge that your business was appreciated, and the folks there did their best to ensure that you had the best possible experience that they could provide - they are proud of their business, and have a passion for making great food. We first visited on their opening night, and we have had the pleasure of watching this place gain a large fan base on a daily basis. They deserve it. As far as good food in a friendly, family atmosphere at a more than fair price, Constantine's Pizza House has it all. Try it, I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

Best pizza I've had in years. Be advised, the salads and pies are big so make sure there's room in your fridge for some leftovers. It's a bit hard to find but don't let that hold you back, it's a great place to eat.

Clean great service food was excellent. Homemade rolls and garlic bits were fabulous. Greek salad was exceptional lots of feta didn't need to ask for more. If your in the Daytona area make sure you stop by.

Tonight we made our second visit to Constantine's. The first time was on a whim, saw the place on my way home from work, figured it was worth a try if only because it's close to the house . The pizza we had that night was phenomenal. Perfect combination of chewy & crunchy crust, super fresh toppings, cheesy and loaded. Friendly staff too. So, came back to try something different...my husband decided if the calzone was as good as the pizza, Constantine's would officially become our new favorite pizza place. He wasn't disappointed...it was HUGE, loaded with cheese and meat, beautiful crust with that satisfying 'thump' a well made calzone has. Marina was chunky and very flavorful. And I had THE BEST Greek salad ever. Gorgeous tomatoes, tons of feta, hand-rolled pinwheels of meat (not shredded) all beautifully served on a plate, not in a tin. And the garlic knots...man oh man...warm, covered in parm & garlic, soft inside, crusty out. And again, very friendly service...the owner even popped out to say hello. One last note...ordered a pitcher of Yuengling and were given ice-cold frosted glass mugs. No plastic tumblers here. So, it's official...Constantine's is definitely our new favorite pizza joint. And they even deliver!

A very pleasant Italian restaurant! The food was pretty good, but the real star was the service! My waitress was very sweet, and gave us plenty of time to order They checked on us often and made sure we were having a good dining experience; even the chef came out and said hi! I recommend this place if you're in the area.

We love eating here and supporting this local business! The staff is always more than polite and accommodating...the food is fantastic...the owner is friendly and genuinely loves what he does! Give it a try. And if you already did and didn't have a great experience, offer them a second chance. Fluke bad experiences do happen. Thank you, Constantine's, for our countless great experiences!!

Small Italian restaurant located in the corner of the strip mall off of US1, this is a no frills typical family owned restaurant serving up extremely fresh non-typical food using old family recipes. If you want authentic Italian cuisine in a setting of days gone by this is one of those places the moment you walk in you know this is not going to be pizza from a national chain. We were greeted by several members of the staff and told to sit wherever we wanted there are no assigned servers everyone takes care of all the customers here, it's just part of the traditional work ethic (very rare these days). - Garlic Knots - Served hot and fresh right out of the oven. Homemade rolls drizzled with great olive oil and fresh chopped garlic served with a side of homemade sauce for dipping they are so good it's difficult to decide if you want to just eat them as they come or use the fresh made sauce. - Pizza Sauce - This was served up with the garlic knots I don't know what this sauce is used for besides this since we didn't try the pasta, but it is extremely fresh and a very solid sauce that you can't buy from a jar or a can. - Pizza- Wow!!!! I recommend you dine in for pizza I can't imagine it tasting this good if you order take out or delivery. The homemade crust and sauce immediately separates this pizza from many you will find in the surrounding area and please don't try and compare this to the national chains it's not close to being in the same category. Perfect thin crust with the perfect amount of sauce topped with the freshest ingredients of your choice and the cheese is exceptional. Its obvious to me that they don't use cheap anything here and they still are able to have great prices. We definitely will return.

We came to Daytona for the Surfers for Autism. And we wanted some pizza. I saw so many great reviews for Constantine's Pizza that we decided to order two 18 inch cheese pizza and some chicken wings. Wow I have to say that the chicken wings were the best I have tried in my life, the pizza was great as well but I have to say that their wings are to die for. I would def order again from this place no doubt

This is a strip mall pizza joint with excellent Italian food. The homemade garlic knots are delicious. And 18 inch large pizza is more than enough for two people. I had two slices and I was full.

Just did a delivery order from constantines. I just moved to Daytona so wanted a new place to order wings and calzones . My food took over an hour to get here . My calzone tasted like rubber with cheese , barely any ricotta. And my wings had barely any sauce and were hard and dry ! Worst wings I've ever had !!! Also I read the reviews before I ordered and saw a lot of people loved there garlic knots so I figured I'd try them and even those were dry! Will NOT be eating here again very bad food !!

First time. Did take out. Ordered the lasagna which came with a side salad and 3 garlic knots. The lasagna is the best I've had in a while with a great option of meat, cheese and noodles very tasty. The salad was fresh and hearty with lettuce, cucumber, onions and tomatoes. They also didn't skimp on the dressing. We also ordered the white spinach pizza, that was was a bit greasy and lacked flavor we added some crushed red pepper flakes and it helped. Some basil would have taken it up a notch. The knots were dry and saturated in oil and garlic but certainly not fresh. I say stick with the entrées.

Meh. Beach delivery pizza was pretty much tasteless despite getting the works. It tasted like gooey cheese on below average crust.

Constantine's Pizza House -- you're a godsend. Thank you. On a calm Sunday evening, I left the confines of my hotel to scrounge up some dinner -- only to find out how early Daytona restaurants closed. Seriously, what kind of diner closes down at 6? I drove around for half an hour searching for places that were still open; I went to three restaurants, only to be turned away. Then, Yelp led me to this goldmine. It was the light at the end of my tunnel; the silver lining of a hungry cloud. I'm glad I persisted. Though the location of the restaurant was a little difficult to find, the food was worth it. With such an wide selection of Italian and pseudo-Italian favorites, I found it hard to make a selection. In the end, I chose the Chicken Parmesan Entree, which came with salad and Garlic Knots. It was so much food for $11! The chicken was cooked and breaded perfectly; the sauce was just the right amount of tangy and savory, thick and hearty. Don't even get me started on the Garlic Knots; I didn't even care if I had garlic-breath by the end of it. They were freshly baked and super fluffy. Everyone there was amazingly nice. From the owner (who patiently gave me directions since I can't tell right from left) to the kitchen staff, everyone was friendly and so awesome! They all had smiles on their faces and were ready to laugh with you at any time. Even though I was doing take-out, they still seated me and offered me water while I waited. There's not much to say for atmosphere. I wouldn't say it's exactly memorable, but the food and service make up for it. All in all, I'll probably hit them up again the next time I'm in Daytona and I recommend you do too. :D

All I can say is don't judge a book by its cover. It doesn't look like it would be the best place to eat, but it was absolutely delicious!!! Everything is made to order and he makes his own bread! Loved it! I got a Stromboli with sausage. I was expecting just little pieces throughout, NO it was quite a bit! Definitely got my money's worth!!!

Great restaurant!! Large portions! Everything is good! You won't be disappointed. Mary served us well and provided suggestions. The fettuccine was terrific. The bread is fresh daily. I will be back!!

Well the food may be okay but as far as honesty they are lacking. Staying in Daytona Beach and drove all the way to the restaurant to check the place out get a take-out menu and speak to the people there. I explained where I was staying and had a very nice conversation. They promised me delivering a dinner or two there would be no problem. The take-out menu says free delivery $10 minimum. Their website says they deliver for free to Daytona Beach. One hour later I tried to order the $10 minimum for free delivery and was told that they won't deliver to where I'm staying unless I orderA minimum of $25. So essentially they're saying they will not deliver to this area most meals because most pizzas and two dinners are less than $25. If they are willing to lie about this what else are they lying about to you?

Looking for a pizza spot in Daytona and trying not to go to a chain. Wish we would have. "Garlic knots" are not fresh as other reviews claim. They're just premade rolls with oil on them. Thank goodness for marinara sauce to finish them. Italian sandwich wasn't too bad. Pizza was a let down. Soggy crust in the middle. Tough. Bleh, not what we were hoping for. Hoping it was an off night or something. The owners were very friendly and nice though.

We're in town for a few days on vacation and we get an undeniable craving for some antipasto salad. I look up the local Italian places, and see that Constantines is open for another 14 minutes. So I call, thinking there's no way they'll let me order something so late. The man on the phone gladly took my order, and we rushed over. I even got lost on the way, not realizing it was back a little further off the road. The staff was very nice and understanding. Oh, and the salads were delicious!! Loaded up with delicious toppings, the veggies were crisp & fresh. We'll definitely be coming back!

I've had their pizza - I thought it was lacking and average. I also had a Chicken Marsala dinner dish that I enjoyed. They (understandably) push their garlic bread item. I wasn't a fan but it is a cash cow item. I don't blame them. They are there to sell food after all. I'd go back to try another dinner item but I'm more likely to stick to what was enjoyable previously.

Hands down the best food I have ever had period. I make my own pasta sauce and meatballs including my own breadcrumbs from scratch which is extremely hard to beat in taste. By golly, I told the owner Chris that his meatballs were better then mine. In fact all of the food here is so amazingly great. My father in-law is from New York and is hard to please when it comes to pizza. He loved it an said how it rivaled New York pizza. My wife and I have visited this place many times. The owner Chris and his son Alex put many hours of dedication every single day in to this place. This may be why it remains to be one of the few restaurants I give a 5/5 stars. As long as Constantine's continues to make perfect food like I have had every single time, I am a life long customer.

We ate here a few weeks ago when we were in the Daytona area. We had the meat lovers pizza and it was excellent!!! I wish we had a pizza place like this one at home. There is nothing fancy about this place but the people who work there are very friendly. So if you go just enjoy the food not the surroundings.

Really good and can't beat the price. I fed 4 people for 33.00 and that included the tip. Can't go wrong with the Stromboli.

We have been looking for a GREAT pizza place for years in the Daytona area. We have been having a difficult time finding great food, ambience, good service, and friendliness all in one establishment. Well, look no more!! Constantine's Pizza is all that and more. The reason they are not well known yet is because of the location in a hard to find plaza behind Sonic in South Daytona (it's in the South West corner to boot). Décor is sparse but very clean. The service and friendliness is second to none! And, the food.... absolutely fresh and delicious!! ALL fresh ingredients! Fresh sauce, fresh mozz, fresh eggplant, fresh mushrooms, fresh basil! Makes for a very delicious pizza! The Greek salad was fresh and good. The dressing was nice. The garlic knots? Oh, the garlic knots! We mused that next time we will come for a salad and a large order of the garlic knots!! Menu is plentiful with all the standard dishes. I got a half carafe of wine. HUGE. We got a bonus as we were leaving. We asked the owner about delivery to our place, which is just outside the delivery area. He said NO problem! S-C-O-R-E!!! We will be back and back and back! No more hunting.

Do not let the funky location fool you---this is some tasty pizza! We were there on a very quiet Sunday following a day at the beach. The owner greeted us and we were served by a helpful young woman who explained how all ingredients (dough/sauce/even the mozarella) are made in house. Had a pepperoni and a neopolition margarita pizza. The pepperoni pizza was so delicious! Crust was PERFECT---yummy flavor, crispy on outside yet a little bit of bready goodness around the edges. Sauce was definitely homemade with small chunks of San Marzano tomatoes, perfect spices and, the best part was slivers of FRESH basil on top. So, so yummy. Neo margarita was not quite as good bc the cheese slides off very easily. Also introduced to a new beer, Yuengling, a local favorite. A medium bodied beer with an amber color, more flavor than American lager (i.e. Bud or Miller or Michelob) yet not as strong or hoppy as many microbrews. Similar in flavor to a Killians yet better. Served in a frosty mug! The pizzas are served on a silver platter (looks like a cake stand) for added fun. This place is nothing facny, simple strip mall decor and great prices. You will not be dissapointed!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
